Show the morning pickup as its own commitment

An overnight event has at least two times people need to act: dropping off on the first day and collecting on the second. For a Friday sleepover, record “Friday, 6 p.m., drop at Nina’s” and “Saturday, 9:30 a.m., Taylor collects at Nina’s door.” The overnight stay can appear across both dates. A single all-day block cannot tell the collector whether to leave at breakfast or late morning.

Replace a vague morning promise with a usable time

If the host says “after breakfast,” agree on a time or a message to trigger departure. Then check the next commitment. A Saturday lesson might require an earlier collection, a packed bag at the host’s house, or a change agreed before Friday.

Plan for belongings and a delayed return

Ask what must come home with the guest: an overnight bag, an instrument, or kit for the next activity. Agree whom to contact if the household sleeps later than expected. If the collector has a fixed commitment afterward, tell the host before Friday so they can suggest an earlier pickup. Do not assume that ending the overnight calendar event changes the host’s collection arrangements or the next day’s transport.
