How do we turn this week’s dinners into one shared shopping list?
In Lumstead, save each dinner as a dated meal, list the ingredients, and share the meal with your household. Then add its ingredients to the shared shopping list. Your partner can check off items while shopping. You can do this without an AI connection.

Meal plan and Shopping lists
Use separate adult accounts in the same household. Both tools are in Your space. The optional Fitness & nutrition module is for personal food records and is not required for family meal planning.
Plan two meals with an ingredient in common.
For example, choose lentil soup for Monday dinner and tomato pasta for Wednesday dinner. Check what is already in the kitchen. If both recipes use canned tomatoes, work out the total you need before you shop.
Share the meals you want to cook together.
Set the date and meal slot for each dinner. Enter one ingredient per item and choose shared visibility. Keep personal food or health notes out of a meal the household can read.
Review the list before you leave.
Use Add ingredients to shared shopping list on each meal. The same open item text appears once, regardless of capitalization. The list does not add quantities. If both meals say “1 can tomatoes” and you need two cans in total, edit the shopping item to say so.
Keep the limits clear.
A shopping list records what you plan to buy. Lumstead does not know what is in the pantry, verify ingredient labels, reserve a delivery slot, or place a grocery order.
Before you start
Can I keep a meal private?
Yes. A private meal has an option to add its ingredients to your private shopping list. Check the sharing setting before adding the items.
Do we need to share a personal food diary?
No. A shared meal records the household plan. A personal meal log in Fitness & nutrition stays with the person who recorded it.
