Group the handover by the next person’s tasks
Include where to collect the agreed keys, how to identify the correct storage cupboard and which manuals remain with the property. Remove personal account details and private family routines. Walk through the page from the entrance once before you hand it over. Use arrival, access, storage and manuals as simple headings. Include only what that person is entitled to know. A new occupant's sheet and your own moving checklist serve different readers.
Walk through the page
Start at the entrance and follow the instructions as a stranger. Can you identify the correct cupboard without knowing the previous occupants’ nicknames? Can you find the manual for the appliance that remains? Replace relative instructions such as “our usual cupboard” with an observable label.
Finish temporary access separately
Hand over agreed keys through the authorized route and record actual receipt. Remove personal accounts from devices you are leaving, where appropriate, and keep family logins out of the handover. Do not publish access codes on a sheet that may be carried by several helpers during the move. Ask the recipient which entrance and cupboard they found. Remove any personal information they did not need to complete the handover.
