Correct the source that will be reused
If the assistant repeatedly sends visitors to an old entrance, update the arrival instructions with the confirmed entrance and date. Ask the question again from a fresh conversation to see whether it reads the corrected record. If it still gives the old answer, check for a duplicate source. If the assistant sent visitors to the west entrance, search for that instruction in the handbook, pinned messages, arrivals sheet and any old imported copy. Correct the authoritative record first.
Write a precise correction
“Since May 2, visitors enter at the south desk; building office confirmed by email. West entrance is for deliveries” distinguishes the new rule and its exception. A vague instruction to “give better directions” leaves future answers without a factual basis.
Check a fresh retrieval
Ask the question again in a new conversation and inspect the record it cites. If it still uses the old entrance, identify where that version survives or whether the new source is visible to the intended account. Keep the correction history only when it helps prevent the same mistake; avoid spreading private background into multiple notes.
