Build a comparison with one known record

If both can open a shared note but only one can ask AI to summarize it, the shared record probably exists. Check each adult’s model settings and tool support. Try the same fictional question in both accounts so private source data does not obscure the comparison. Use the same invented shared note in both sessions. If one adult cannot open it manually, investigate membership or record visibility first. A model test cannot solve an account-level access problem.

Compare settings without sharing secrets

Check chosen provider, model, tool support, connection status and the network each device uses. Compare labels and error messages, not the secret API keys themselves. If both adults can read the note but only one can summarize it, test a simple chat and then a request that needs the note. That separates general model access from tool use.

Record the smallest difference

Change one setting, repeat the same question and note the result. If the second account has a different provider balance or model capability, that may be intentional. Do not grant wider access or share the first person's credentials merely to make two different configurations behave identically.
