How can I plan workouts when my free time changes each week?

Start with the time you actually have this week and a routine you already know. In Lumstead, save the plan under Routines, then record each session under Workouts. Next week, compare the plan with what you did before moving or shortening a session.

What you need

Fitness & nutrition

Enable Fitness & nutrition for your account. You can maintain both records yourself. To ask Lumstead about your saved routine, use a connected model that can read wellness records.

  1. Give the plan two real time slots.

Suppose Tuesday gives you 20 minutes at home and Saturday gives you 40 minutes at the gym. Ask, “Which parts of my saved routine fit these slots with the equipment I have?” Include travel or pickup time if it reduces the session. Ask for a draft before changing the routine.

  2. Keep the plan and the log separate.

Put the goal, schedule, and planned exercises in a routine. When you finish a workout, record the date, duration, and what you actually did. If Saturday gets canceled, leave the workout log empty for that session.

  3. Use last week to make one adjustment.

If Saturday keeps getting cut short, look at the durations you recorded and choose a shorter slot for next week. If you want the assistant’s help, ask it to show which saved sessions support its suggestion.

Keep the limits clear.

Lumstead works from the records you enter. It cannot see your form, assess an injury, or determine whether an exercise is safe for you.

Before you start

Can my partner see my workout log?

Fitness records belong to your account. Household membership alone does not give another adult access to your workouts.

Does adding a routine log the workouts automatically?

No. A routine describes the plan. A workout record describes a session you completed.
